ZLP/VVBP guard's van
The ZLP van was built for freight and passenger work from the early 1960s, entering service as ZF vans. Bogies were cascaded from BP box vans as was the case with many VR wagons, occurring in the mid to late 1960s, with reclassification to ZLP.
When national four letter coding began in the early 1980s, the ZLP class became the VVBP.
These models are Trainorama's most recent VR rollingstock item, featuring highly detailed bodies, metal wheels and Kadee-clone metal couplers.
The colour is perhaps not the most correct red. It's too brown for VR wagon red, and certainly not correct for passenger car red, as many of these vans were painted. However they are a good example of the class.
