Most definitely James... Although you could certainly set aside a bit of time to run a particular period (e.g. pre 1960, or similar) for a bit of fun at a meet, just to see how you go :)

That's why I said post WW2 as being the 'major' era. My interest is pre-war, but I've got more than enough post war models to be able to participate. And the layout itself really won't change overly much, at least not to look 'right' :)

I was thinking more 1965 to 1980 (just before V/line if not just at the start)
